Gluten free cupcakes have finally taken Philly by storm! This week, Gluten Free Promise visited Philly Cupcake to check out the hype! We entered the quaint shop and perused the wide variety of cupcakes, including vegan cupcakes. When our hopes for gluten free heaven began to wane, a concoction of gluten free chocolate heaven caught our eye! Philly Cupcake sells “The Coma” cupcake which is a flourless chocolate cupcake with buttercream and ganache frosting. We grabbed the $4 gluten free cupcake and was on our way. The cupcake was awesome!Â

Quest to Find the Best Gluten Free Pizza: Mom’s Bake at Home Pizza – Devon, PA
Even though we have been trying to eat less junk food, I may have fallen off the wagon a little bit. This weekend, I convinced Greg (with little resistance) that we should try Mom’s Bake at Home gluten free pizza. Again, this is an easy dinner and requires minimal cooking. In addition, Mom’s Devon, PA store now offers frozen gluten free pastas too.
Quest to Find the Best Gluten Free Pizza: Brother’s Pizza – West Chester, PA
We are trying to get our beach bodies in order this year, so gluten free pizza fridays have been a little more spaced out than I would like. Last week, I made a bee line to Brother’s Pizza in West Chester, PA. It was easy and didn’t require me to cook! The pizzas were delicious and reasonably priced.
Help the FDA with Gluten Free Food Labeling

Are you required to maintain a gluten free diet due to Celiac Disease, Gluten Intolerance or a Wheat Allergy? Do you shop and/or cook for someone required to maintain a gluten free diet, but do not have to maintain one yourself? Well, this is your opportunity to help the Federal Drug Administration in setting standards for disclosing gluten in packaged products! The FDA is asking you to take a short survey to help them with gluten free labeling. Can you imagine a day when you don’t have to spend hours in a grocery store reading every label to see if the product contains gluten?
Fellini’s Café – Paoli, PA
Greg and I went to Fellini’s Cafe in Paoli, PA recently and were pleasantly surprised by the flexibility of the wait staff. As always, going to a small Italian restaurant while following a gluten free diet is always risky. However, I researched the menu online and figured that worse case scenario, I could have a salad.
Quest to Find the Best Gluten Free Pizza: Week 1
The thing I miss most since going gluten free (besides Picasso’s chicken finger subs in West Seneca, NY) is pizza. Pizza was my go-to food! While gluten free pizza is much easier to come by recently, it still isn’t as easy as picking up your phone for delivery!
