Help the FDA with Gluten Free Food Labeling

By Nicole | Apr 15, 2010

UPDATE:  The FDA has closed the survey due to an overwhelming response within the last few days.  Thanks to everyone who participated!

Are you required to maintain a gluten free diet due to Celiac Disease, Gluten Intolerance or a Wheat Allergy?  Do you shop and/or cook for someone required to maintain a gluten free diet, but do not have to maintain one yourself?  Well, this is your opportunity to help the Federal Drug Administration in setting standards for disclosing gluten in packaged products!  The FDA is asking you to take a short survey to help them with gluten free labeling.  Can you imagine a day when you don’t have to spend hours in a grocery store reading every label to see if the product contains gluten?

I took the survey last night and it took me less than 10 minutes.  They ask several questions such as your diet, frequency of gluten consumption, and opinions on labeling.  If you have the time, click here and take the survey.  Then dream of a day when shopping for gluten free products is routine!
