When Greg and I confirmed our suspicions that I was gluten intolerant, we both thought, “Now what?” Questions ran through both of our heads (probably more so me). We both spent countless hours on the Internet and specifically on Google. We knew the obvious foods that contain gluten – breads, pastas, cakes, pastries, etc. However, we knew that there were still foods that contained gluten that were not so obvious. Here are some of the most helpful and reliable sites that we have found and would like to share with you.
The Celiac Sprue Association is an American non-profit support group for Celiac Disease. We find the Grains and Flours Glossary to be very helpful when reading labels and deciphering ingredients.
This site provides resources to learn about Celiac Disease and gluten intolerance and has gluten free recipes and lists of restaurants with gluten free menus and/or accommodations.
