Quest to Find the Best Gluten Free Pizza: Brother’s Pizza – West Chester, PA

By Nicole | Apr 16, 2010

We are trying to get our beach bodies in order this year, so gluten free pizza fridays have been a little more spaced out than I would like.  Last week, I made a bee line to Brother’s Pizza in West Chester, PA.  It was easy and didn’t require me to cook!  The pizzas were delicious and reasonably priced.

The pizzas come in 12 inch sizes only, which appeared to be not quite a medium.  Each plain pizza is $13 and you can add any gluten free topping for an additional cost.  I ordered 2 pies for Greg and me (yes – my eyes are apparently bigger than my stomach).  I decided to get 1 pepperoni and 1 mushroom.  My total bill came to about $35 for 2 pizzas with 2 extra toppings and 2 cokes, which isn’t that bad for a gluten free pizza.

I rushed home and tore into the box!  To my delight, the pizzas were cheesey and delicious looking.  I ate as fast as I could because pizza is a delicacy these days.  The crust was as close to “regular” pizza as I’ve had in a long time.  Greg thinks that Main Line Pizza in Wayne, PA was slightly better, but if anything I believe that they are the same (and Brother’s is cheaper).  We had left over pizza, which was still delicious eaten cold or reheated.

I highly recommend Brother’s Pizza in West Chester, PA.  Check them out and tell them we sent you!

I haven’t tried Brother’s Pizza or Main Line Pizza! Thanks for the heads up. Great website, by the way. I love the variety of products you offer in one central area.

Brother’s Pizza is wonderful- I have found it is even better if you ask them to cook it well done…the center becomes crispier and even more like “real” pizza!
FYI- I happen to meet you in Wegman’s today and I am here checking out your site- Love it. Brother’s is in the same strip as the super market (Giant) I had mentioned with a large GF section!

Thanks for the tip, Amanda! Now I can’t wait to go back to Brother’s Pizza and order pizza that way!

We wound up going to that Giant after we met you at Wegmans. They had a much better gluten free section than the Giant in Frazer. Thanks for the tip.

Let us know the name of the snack mix you were looking for – we’d love to try it!

Thanks so much for the heads up. I’ve been getting my hair done next to Brothers for years and had no idea they had gluten free pizza. I’m just curious about cross contamination. Is there separate preparation areas and a separate oven for the gluten free pizzas? My husband is highly sensitive and any small amount of contamination will get him very sick. Thanks. Your site looks great.

Ps – don’t know if you go to Ocean City, Nj at all but there is a delicious taco stand that we found this year that is entirely gluten free called pure tacos. I became addicted and I don’t require a gf diet. I can’t wait to go back this year.
